Silvertone 1485 restoration
Silvertone 1485. This is the model made famous by Jack White, with the 6x10 cabinet and the head that tucks inside. This was a full vintage restoration job plus mods for Ben from the band Restorations.
The amp is a weird design. It has two separate push/pull output stages with two 6L6s each. So there are two output transformers, each of which drives 3 speakers out of the 6. Both output stages...

The entire PCB had to be shotgunned — which is not as hard as you would expect. There are a few strange values, but most things can be done with parts on hand.[[MORE]]
After the scare with the shorted...

nirgalidietrich asked: My drummer told me you're a gear-genius, especially with BOSS pedals, so I've come to you with a question; I own a BOSS HM-2 Heavy Metal pedal, which as you probably know is supposed to run on the old 12V ACA adaptor. What should I ideally be running this on or what will suffice if I don't have an ACA adaptor? Will it be fine on a 9V power chain?
