Dorking out now that everything is finished before tour starts on Monday. This is the unnoticed stuff that gets used the most in my work, other than the multimeter. Notice that there is no scope or tube tester here…
I’m the 3rd generation to use this. It will actually drill through steel with a titanium bit as quickly and much quieter than any power drill I’ve used.
A dummy load I built inside an old broken PA amp chassis. Two 300W 8-ohm resistors with a toggle between series (16-ohm) or parallel (4-ohm). The 1/4” jack is a line-level output so that I can listen to the amp running full tilt or plug it into the computer for spectral analysis or software scoping. The rocker switch turns on an A/C-powered fan to cool the resistors.
TI-92 graphing calculator. What an amazing piece of machinery. I wanted one so badly in high school… bought this on Ebay in a fit of nostalgia. It gets used almost every day.
Weber current limiter. Very useful. I like it better than the VARIAC, the glow tells me what I need to know. They sell these as a kit.
THE Weller model. Quit messing around. This will triple your work speed.
